Internal System Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for an Internal System Administrator to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and internal services. The candidate should have good troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn and work with new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers.
  • Manage virtualization environments such as Proxmox, VMware, or KVM.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory / LDAP.
  • Maintain internal services such as Nginx/Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, and Mail Servers.
  • Perform regular system updates, security patching, backups, and maintenance.
  • Monitor infrastructure using Zabbix, Nagios, Site24x7, or similar tools.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and network issues.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure documentation, configurations, and change logs.
  • Assist with data center operations, server rack management, and cabling.
  • Follow IT security policies and infrastructure best practices.
  • Assist with automation and routine tasks using basic scripting.

Technical Skills

  • Linux administration (Ubuntu/CentOS).
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
  • Virtualization: Proxmox / VMware / KVM.
  • Monitoring: Zabbix / Nagios / Site24x7.
  • Basic scripting: Bash / Python / PowerShell.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP.
  • Basic understanding of AWS / Azure / Google Cloud is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of backup systems and data center operations is preferred.

Qualification

  • BCA / MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in system, server, or network administration.
  • Candidates with strong practical knowledge and relevant certifications/projects may also be considered.
