A Domain is not resolvable in Plesk, why?
Even when the domain resolves correctly, users might encounter the “Domain is Not Resolvable” message when using Plesk to manage the websites online. We’ll get a notification that resembles this.
When the domain did not resolve to IPv6 address, the error pops up. This is set up in the Web Hosting Access section of the Domains >> mydomain.com menu.
How to fix the issue “domain is not resolvable” in Plesk?
Solution 1
We need to add the AAAA record on the Registrar’s side. We can follow the below steps in order to fix the error.
- Firstly, login to the Plesk dashboard.
- Then go to Domains >> mydomain.com >> Web Hosting Access.
- Locate the IPv6 drop-down menu. Then select None.
- Scroll down to the bottom. Finally, click on the OK button to save the changes.
Solution 2
It was found that a bug with the ID PPPM-12889 was the root of the issue.
In order to give their customers a consistent and uninterrupted experience, Plesk recently released its newest version, Plesk Obsidian 18.0.35, which comes with a few major developments and a number of many small improvements.
With the new Plesk Obsidian 18.0.35, we will no longer get “Domain is not resolvable” once we have disabled the domain resolution check-in panel.ini. So upgrading to the latest version also resolves the error. We should also confirm the domain is correctly pointed.
