Bitnami on Drupal

Bitnami is a collection of installers and software packages for web applications, software stacks, and virtual appliances. And Drupal is a PHP-based free and open-source web content management system.

Installation

1. Navigate to the page Home >> Applications >> CMS >> Drupal >> Installers.

2. Look for the OS (Windows, MAC, or Linux) and click the “Download” button for Drupal.

3. Run the installer after the download is complete.

Setup

1. Click the final installer button “Finish”. The browser will now automatically open to the “Bitnami: Awesome! Drupal is now installed” page, with the browser address:

http://127.0.0.1/

2. Click “Access Drupal” to navigate to the new site’s homepage, which is located at the below browser address:

http://127.0.0.1/drupal/

3. In order to log in, the username and password used to ‘login’ to the site are the same as those used during Bitnami installation. If we changed the default username during the installation by entering our own, the Drupal site login will use the username we entered. However, if we do not enter our own username, we will see the default value.

• The ‘Bitnami Drupal Stack’ window that appears after the installation is also known as the ‘Bitnami Manager’ window. We can reopen it by clicking “manager-windows.exe”.
• The phpMyAdmin’ username is “root”, and the ‘phpMyAdmin’ password is the same as the one we used during the installation, which is also the site login password.
• The Drupal codebase is at: Bitnami installation directory]\apps\drupal\htdocs\*
