Updating CageFS Skeleton

The CageFS “skeleton” refers to the underlying file system template that is used to generate each user’s isolated environment. It holds the important files and folders that each user can access within their CageFS.

The “update cagefs skeleton” command updates the CageFS skeleton with the most recent setup. When we do the update, any changes, additions, or deletions made to the base template will be reflected in the virtualized file systems of all server users.

Steps To Update CageFS Skeleton

1. Firstly, log in to Server. We can connect to the server via SSH as a root user.

2. Now run the below code to update the CageFS:

--force-update

The –force-update flag ensures the update is executed even if no visible changes exist. It guarantees that any changes are communicated to users.

3. Then wait for the completion as it may take a while to finish the update.

4. Finally, after the completion, we must verify that the changes have been applied correctly to the CageFS skeleton.
