Similarly, if the application cluster needs to scale in addition to having more dynamic content, Application Load Balancer with WAF would be the way to go.

According to our Support Techs, there is an additional fixed cost for Application Load Balancer besides the variable cost for each month. However, AWS CloudFront costs are dependent on variable and consumption costs.

In some scenarios, we can have CloudFront and ALB work together where we add the WAF to CloudFront only.
