Transfer DNS from Cloudflare to GoDaddy

Transferring a domain to another registrar is simple with Cloudflare Registrar. Be aware that a domain cannot be transferred in the following circumstances:

1. Within the last 60 days, it has been moved.
2. It was registered within the previous 60 days.
3. If the WHOIS registrant data has altered in the previous 60 days.

To move the domain away from Cloudflare, adhere to the instructions listed below.

Cloudflare Domain Unlock

1. Firstly, select the account in the Cloudflare dashboard.
2. Then, go to Registrar.
3. Then, locate the domain to be transferred and click Manage.
4. Navigate to Configuration > Unlock.
5. Then, to confirm that we want to unlock the domain, select Confirm and Unlock.
6. Finally, copy the auth code (also known as authentication code and authorization code) generated by Cloudflare and paste it into the new registrar.

If we misplace the authentication code, we can obtain a replacement by:

• Selecting the Regenerate button.
• Repeating steps 1-6 and locking the domain.

Transfer to the new registrar

We can complete the process through GoDaddy once we’ve prepared the domain name.

1. Firstly, on the GoDaddy website, look for the domain we want to transfer.
2. Then, confirm that the domain has been unlocked. A green check mark will appear next to Unlock the domain. If this section is not green, we will need to confirm that our domain is unlocked with our current registrar. By selecting the Refresh Status button, we can refresh the unlock status.
3. Then, in the second field, enter the authorization code. A green checkmark will appear if the authorization code entered is correct.
   
4. Click the Continue button.
5. Then choose the domain privacy options and then click Continue.
6. Finally, to finish the checkout process, select a payment method and click Complete Purchase.

Domain transfers can take anywhere from 5 to 7 days to complete.

Transfer a .UK domain to a different registrar

1. Firstly, select the account after logging into the Cloudflare dashboard.
2. Then, proceed to the Registrar.
3. Locate the domain that needs to be transferred, then select Manage.
4. Then, select Unlock from Configuration.
5. Finally enter the IPS tag of the registrar to which we are transferring.

The transfer will be accepted by our new registrar. The reasons a transfer might not be approved by the new registrar are not visible to Cloudflare.
