How to use Exim to send mail from command line

Exim is a free MTA (Mail Transfer Agent). We can easily send an email with Exim via the command line as seen below:

1. First, we have to use the following command from our user shell to inform Exim that we plan to send an email to a specific recipient:

   $ exim -v new@domainname.com
2. Next, we have to enter the subject and body of the emails as seen below:

   From: bob@bobcares.com Subject: Test Email
This is a test email.
3. Then, we have to press the Ctrl+d key combination.
4. Now, we will be able to see the SMTP connection details. We can return to our shell with the Ctrl+c key combination.

We can also send an email with Exim from the command line as seen below:

exim -i -t <<< 'From: Bob<bob@bobcares.com>
To: John Doe <John@abc.com>, jane Doe <jane@xyz.com>
Subject: Test email
