How to Enable Java for SSH Virtualizors

Did you know that enabling Java for SSH in Virtualizor refers to accessing the Virtualizor panel via a Java-based SSH console?

In fact, the Java SSH console lets us access the console of a virtual machine hosted on Virtualizor directly from our web browser without a dedicated SSH client.

Let’s take a look at how to enable Java for SSH:

1. First, we have to access the Virtualizor control panel with our web browser. We have to log in with the administrative or user credentials to access and manage virtual machines.
2. Next, we must head to the Virtual Machines section in the Virtualizor panel and choose the VM for which we want to enable the Java SSH console.
3. Then, we will come across different management options, including an option to access the console. Here, we have to click on Console or VNC button to start the connection to the VM’s console.
4. Now, a new window opens in the web browser and launches the Java SSH console application.
5. According to our browser’s settings and Java security settings, we may receive a security warning about running Java applications. We have to grant permission to run the Java applet for the SSH console to work.
6. Once we grant the required permissions, the Java SSH console will display a terminal window that allows us to log in to the VM using SSH.
7. We have to enter the SSH credentials to access the VM’s console.
8. After logging in we can use the SSH console to interact with the VM. In other words, we can run commands, manage files, etc over an SSH connection.
