WordPress figcaption center | How to use it

by | Jun 10, 2022

WordPress figcaption center CSS class comes in handy in centrally aligning image captions regardless of the WordPress theme we are using.

At Bobcares, we offer solutions for every query, big and small, as a part of our WordPress Support Services.

Let’s take a look at how our WordPress Support Team is ready to introduce customers to the WordPress figcaption center in order to centrally align the Image caption.

All About using WordPress figcaption center

Many WordPress themes seem to have trouble displaying image captions in the center while using a particular WordPress Theme. Interestingly, this is due to the WordPress theme in use.

If you are facing the same issue, you are in luck, we can centrally align the image captions without too much trouble.

Before we begin, we have to identify the CSS element or class responsible for aligning the image caption.

  1. First, open the web page in a browser and right-click the image.
  2. Then, click Inspect to open up the Developers Tool tab in the browser. This gives us access to the element tag name and CSS properties of the Image caption.
  3. Next, examine the HTML tag and we will notice the WordPress figcation element. Additionally, the CSS class is .wp-block-image figcaption.
  4. After that,  navigate to Appearance> Customize.
  5. Then, click Additional CSS options and enter the following:
    .wp-block-image figcaption {
    		text-align: center;
    }
  6. Next, click Publish.

After implementing the above steps, refresh the web page and we will notice that the image caption is centrally aligned regardless of which WordPress theme we are using.

At the end of the day, every element on the web page has a role to play in keeping the visitor’s interest and spending more time on the website.
