Blesta has many plugins that helps to accomplish features such as support management. The plugins are usually installed under ‘[Settings] > [Company] > [Plugins]’ option, based on the requirement of the web host.

One such commonly installed plugin in Blesta is the ‘Support Manager’. It integrates a ticket system and knowledgebase to allow for clients to request support.

In Litespeed servers, Blesta sometimes give an error with this plugin, while trying to view the Support Tickets either as admin or client user. The error shown would be:

Fatal error: Class ‘SupportManagerController’ not found in /home/user/public_html/billing/plugins/support_manager/support_manager_kb_controller.php on line 11

Today we’ll see what causes this error in Litespeed and how to fix it.

How to fix Blesta error in Litespeed

XCache is an open source cacher which is integrated with PHP to enhance the performance of PHP script execution on servers. But this cacher can cause compatibility errors with Blesta.

The error ‘Fatal error: Class ‘SupportManagerController’ not found in /home/user/public_html/billing/plugins/support_manager’ occurs in Litespeed servers due to the Xcache feature.

To verify XCache presence in PHP, it is easy, by creating a ‘phpinfo.php‘ file under your document root directory (i.e./var/www/html or /var/www) and adding the following php lines to it.

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Getting a 503 error or PHP crashing issues can also happen due to the Xcache feature at times, as Xcache sometimes have compatibility issues with PHP.

Xcache is also reported to show compatibility issues with Blesta and hence we turn it off in the Litespeed servers to avoid the error ‘Fatal error: Class ‘SupportManagerController’ in support section.

To turn off Xcache, we disable the line containing ‘xcache.so’ in the relevant ‘php.ini’ file in the server. After the changes, we restart LSWS and the error would be gone.
