How To Resolve SolusVM Almalinux installation error 1054

Installation error 1054 also known as ID#SVM-3259  appears during SolusVM Almalimux installation. Before resolving this error,  our Support Engineers would like to recap the installation procedure of the master panel. You can either install the Management panel on its own or along with OpenVZ hypervisor. Let’s take a look at how to go about both these options.

Hardware Requirements To Install Master Panel Without OpenVZ Hypervisor

At least 80Gb disk storage is recommended for a large master with thousands of clients. You can calculate the necessary requirements accordingly. The minimum hardware requirements to install a master panel without the hypervisor are:

  • Cpu Cores:2
  • Storage:80 GB SSD
  • Memory: 4GB
  • RAM: 4GB

It can serve the following specification:

  • No. of accesses per hour by users: Less than 40
  • No. of slave nodes: Over 100
  • No.of registered users in the database: Over 5000

Hardware Requirements To Install Master Panel With OpenVZ Hypervisor

Our support engineers tune and adjust the hardware depending on the VPSs that can be hosted on the KVM.

The SolusVM Slave software is quite modest when it comes to resource usage. In fact, it can even be overlooked. Our experts recommend the following hardware requirements for running OpenVZ:

The minimum hardware requirements to run OpenVZ are as follows:

  • x86-64 platform that has hardware virtualization support: AMD-V or Intel VT-x( with “unrestricted guest”
Check whether “unrestricted guest” is supported by Intel processor with the following steps:

    1. Download from
    2. Then run the command python | grep -i unrest. The output will be yes
  • CPU: Minimum 4 cores and a 64-bit processor to run a 64-bit operating system
  • RAM: 4GB or more
  • SSD: Minimum 80 GB (optional
  • HDD: 80GB or more
  • Network: A valid IP address and an Ethernet network adapter

We would like to point out that the actual number of virtual machines and containers that can be run on the physical server as well as their performance will ultimately depend on the resources consumed.
