In other words, BIMI adds an extra layer of trust and authenticity to our emails.

When we send an email via an email provider that supports BIMI, a unique version of our company’s logo appears beside our email address in the recipient’s mailbox. This simple feature sets us apart from our competitors.

Getting Started with BIMI

Here are a few prerequisites before we dive into the world of BIMI:

  1. First, we must ensure we have a domain set up and configured properly in your hosting environment, like CyberPanel.
  2. Next, implement a DMARC policy for our domain.
  3. Then, we have to create our company logo in SVG format, following BIMI’s specific requirements for dimensions, colors, and file format.
  4. Then, we need web hosting to store our SVG logo file. It should be accessible via a public URL.

How to set up BIMI

  1. First, log into CyberPanel.
  2. Then, choose List Websites under Websites.
  3. Next, select File Manager and head to public_html.
  4. Now, we have to click Upload and browse, and select the BIMI logo file of the company logo.
  5. We have to rename the file with a straightforward name for SEO purposes.
  6. We have to make sure we can access the image via a public URL.
  7. Then, it is time to head to the CyberPanel File Manager and select the logo to return to the dashboard.
  8. Next, select Add/Delete Records under DNS.
  9. At this point we have to select our domain from the dropdown menu and choose the TXT subsection.
  10. Furthermore, we have to make sure DMARC, DKIM, and SPF records are present for the domain.
  11. We have to enter default._bimi in the Name field.
  12. Additionally, we have to set TTL to 3600.
  13. Then, we have to paste the following in the Text field.
    v=BIMI1; l=https://example.com/company-logo.svg; a=;

We have to replace the URL with our SVG image URL.

  14. Next, click Add and scroll down, and make sure the following message is highlighted in green.

    Records successfully fetched for example.com.

  15. Finally, it is time to test our BIMI Record.

With the above steps, we can boost our email marketing efforts, stand out from competitors, and build trust with our audience.
