How to fix Xenapp Error Code 2524?

Generally, this error indicates failure to establish a connection with VDA (Virtual Delivery Agent) IP address from Citrix Gateway.

To resolve this issue, we verify if VDA is reachable to Citrix Gateway.

Then, in order to verify the reachability from the Gateway, we create a service to the VDA on ports 1494/ 2598 on the Gateway:

For instance,

> add service vda1 TCP 2598
> add service vda2 TCP 1494

If the output for this service marks as UP, then there is no issue with the reachability.

In addition, we can use the command: “show service <service name>” to check the service state from the CLI
