Need help with SolusVM Master Installation? We can help you.
As part of our Server Management Services, we assist our customers with several SolusVM queries.
Today, let us discuss the installation of SolusVM Master.
SolusVM Master Installation
The software requirements are as follows:
- AlmaLinux 8
- CentOS Stream 8
- CentOS 7
- RHEL 7
- Scientific Linux 7
- OpenVZ 7/Virtuozzo 7
Generally, we can install SolusVM Master software via management panel + OpenVZ hypervisor OR with management panel only.
Moving ahead, let us see how our Support Techs perform the installation for our customers.
AlmaLinux 8/CentOS Stream 8
In order to perform the installation, we download the installer. Then we select the option, Management node.
# curl -o installer https://files.soluslabs.com/solusvmphp7/install/installer && chmod +x installer && ./installer
CentOS 7/RHEL 7/Scientific Linux 7/Open VZ7
Once we meet the software and hardware requirements, we log into the server via SSH.
Eventually, we download the installer and start it.
Install SolusVM Master
In order to install, our Support Techs run the following command:
# curl -o install.sh https://files.solusvm.com/install.sh && sh install.sh
Suppose we are interested in the “UI” (User Interface) type in the installer.
On the other hand, the other options will install only hypervisor (slave node):
CentOS 7 – Master node without virtualization – we select option 1
OpenVZ 7 – Master node with OpenVZ – we select option 2
In case we install the Master node on OpenVZ 7 server, it is necessary that we manually create the directory for the template files:
mkdir /vz/template/cache chown solusvm.solusvm /vz/template/cache/
After that, we can proceed with the additional configuration.
