This feature is a one-click solution that takes individual, point-in-time backups of all Amazon EBS volumes attached to the instance.

Generally, this process makes sure that the backup is in sync, resulting in an accurate restoration of the Amazon EBS volumes.

Our Support Techs recommend tagging multiple volume snapshots to manage them during restore, copy, or retention.

1. Initially, we open the Amazon EC2 console.

2. Then from the Elastic Block Store, we select Snapshots > Create Snapshot.

4. After that, we select Instance as the resource type.

5. We can select the instance ID from the drop-down menu.

6. It is also possible to enter a Description of the snapshot.

7. If necessary, we select Copy Tags to automatically copy tags from the source volume to the corresponding snapshots.

8. Finally, we click on, Create Snapshot.
