LiteSpeed ModSecurity
Owning a powerful modsecurity engine, LiteSpeed provides outstanding compatibility and performance. With well-known rule sets, LSWS is compatible. Additionally, firewalls like CSF function nicely with LiteSpeed.
How to set up LiteSpeed ModSecurity?
1. Make sure the LiteSpeed has the ModSecurity module activated first.
2. The OWASP CRS is the default rule set that LiteSpeed uses. In order to suit the needs, we can alter the rules or apply alternative rule sets. We can use these setup files to configure the rules.
3. Sometimes, ModSecurity can produce false positives and block appropriate requests. We can do this by adding exceptions or by whitelisting particular rules. In the WebAdmin Console, LiteSpeed offers a “Rules Whitelist” function where we may enter the rule IDs that we want to whitelist.
4. It’s essential to thoroughly test the website after setting up ModSecurity to make sure it runs without accidentally breaking any rules.

Conclusion
ModSecurity rules should not be configured through the WebAdmin console. These regulations apply only to LSWS native virtual hosts.
