How to Change the SMTP Port in CyberPanel?

A graphical interface for managing websites, web servers, and other hosting-related services is offered by CyberPanel, a control panel for web hosting.

Most servers’ email services utilise the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) by default to send emails out on port 25. Nonetheless, in order to stop spam or other security issues, certain hosting companies or ISPs (Internet Service Providers) may restrict port 25.

We must run the following steps in order to change the SMTP port in CyberPanel:

1. Initially, in the web browser, enter the login and password to access the CyberPanel interface.

2. Once we’re logged in, locate and select the “Email” option to change any email-related settings.

3. Find the SMTP settings under the email management section. The SMTP port ought to be set to 25 by default. So, find the “SMTP Port” or “Outgoing Mail Server Port” field and edit it.

4. Then, choose another SMTP port to utilise. SMTP’s common alternate ports include 587, 465, and 2525. It is important that the port we select is approved by the ISP or hosting company.

5. Once the new SMTP port has been entered, click “Save” or “Apply” to save the changes.

6. We may occasionally need to restart the email services in order for the modifications to take effect. To restart the email service in CyberPanel, look for a “Restart Services” button or an option.

7. Lastly, we must adjust the SMTP settings of email apps such as Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and Outlook to match the new port that we have selected in CyberPanel.

Before starting the process, we must make sure that the ISP or hosting provider permits outgoing traffic on the selected SMTP port.
