Adding DNS Vultr – How To?
We can easily add the DNS for the domains using the Vultr dashboard if we have a server on Vultr. The process of adding the DNS is as follows:
- Log into the Vultr account.
- On the Servers page, select the DNS.
- Now click Add Domain.
- Click Add after entering your domain and IP address in the relevant fields.
- Now the DNS page shows a list of records.
- Also, include more records for www. and other subdomains. So click Add New Record.
- When the new form appears, choose A from the drop-down list. In the Name field, enter ‘www’. provide the IP address in the Data field.
- Now press Add. (We can do the same for all the subdomains)
- To set up the MX record on Vultr, first, remove the default record.
- Then go to the DNS screen. Select the current MX record. Click on the Update Domain option.
- Once it is removed, select Add New Record.
- To finish the form, manually insert the MX records for the mail host here. For all mail host’s MX records, repeat this process.
First, choose MX from the drop-down menu on the Add New Record form.
Put @ in the Name field after that.
Enter the value/answer/destination provided in the Data field.
Input the TTL and Priority, then click Add.
