Let’s take a look at how our Support team helped one of our customers resolve an issue they were having while creating a Droplet in Digitalocean.
Digitalocean Droplet Creation Stuck
Droplets are Linux-based virtual machines (VMs) that run on virtualized hardware in DigitalOcean. Each Droplet is a new server that can be used on its own or as part of a larger cloud-based infrastructure. It’s easy to get rid of the stuck droplet. To destroy a droplet stuck in creation mode, follow the bwlow steps.
- Firstly, click on the droplet.
- After that, go to the destroy tab and right-click on the destroy button.
- Then choose inspect Elements from the drop-down menu.
- Finally, from the destroy button class, remove/delete the “disabled” text.
For those who don’t get it, use the firefox inspector to locate the html for the destroy button and disable the setting associated with it. After that, we can actually click it to send the destroy command.
Suggestions
- In the event of ongoing issues, a warning should appear in the top bar before creating a droplet for the selected region, not after it has been submitted.
- At the very least, provide IP information to the server administrator as soon as possible.
