Cloudflare CyberPanel now has the ability to synchronise DNS entries on our own server between Cloudflare and CyberPanel DNS.
As part of our Server management service, Bobcares responds to all inquiries, no matter how big or small.
Let’s take a closer look at how CyberPanel handles DNS synchronisation.
Cloudflare CyberPanel
Only a few HTTP and HTTPS ports are allowed by Cloudflare. Unless we pay for their paid plan, we won’t be able to access ports 8090 (cyberpanel) or 7080 (Openlitespeed Webadmin). So, here’s a solution for that.
- Firstly, go to the cyberpanel.
- Then select Create a Website.
- Select a subdomain at random. Choose something difficult to hack into so that hackers have a harder time getting to the panel page.
- Then press the create button.
- Then, point that subdomain to the IP address in Cloudflare’s dashboard.
- Then go down to SSL > Hostname SSL.
- Finally, install a panel SSL.
We can then go to subdomain.domain_name.com:7080 instead of domain _name.com:7080. Then we can reap the benefits of the Cloudflare CDN and secure our web panel.
What is the purpose of CyberPanel Synchronisation?
CyberPanel now has a deep integration with Cloudflare, allowing it to perform the following tasks automatically:
- Add, edit, or delete DNS records: We don’t have to log in to our Cloudflare account every time we create a new DNS entry, such as for email or subdomain or text verification.
- In Cloudflare, create the required zone information and domain: CyberPanel checks if the domain we’re creating is in our Cloudflare account when we create a new website. And it will create all of the DNS records before copying them to Cloudflare DNS records.
- Constant sync: This feature will update and/or populate the changes on our Cloudflare account if we change any of the records on CyberPanel or if any record is missing from the Cloudflare account.
How to Integrate with Cloudflare?
- Firstly, go to DNS and then Cloudflare.
- To get an API token from Cloudflare, go to the Cloudflare account and click the avatar on the right.
- Then click the API token tab under profile settings.
- Then, next to Global API Key, click the blue “View” button.
- To obtain the API token key, enter the password.
- Please provide the email address associated with our Cloudflare account.
- Then, enter the generated Cloudflare API token.
- Then, for Sync local Records to Cloudflare, select Enable.
- Finally, click save.
- We can add, remove, or sync our DNS between CyberPanel and Cloudflare on the next screen.
