Amazon LightSail On Plesk

We can now establish a LightSail instance with a simple Plesk configuration thanks to the new image release, Plesk Web Admin SE from AWS LightSail. There are certain restrictions on this Plesk version, which is free. Those who only require basic administration or who are experimenting with it before purchasing the Plesk full license can utilize it the most. However, we can only host 3 domains. 1. Firstly, go to the Amazon LightSail Home Page.

2. Click the relevant instance’s name under “INSTANCES,” then select the “Networking” option.

3. Click “+Add another” under “Firewall” and enter the following ports: 53/udp (DNS Server), 53/tcp (DNS Server), 8443/tcp (Plesk Panel), 8447/tcp (Plesk Installer).

4. Now, click “Save”.

5. In the command line of instance OS run the following command:

$ sudo plesk login

This creates a one-time login link. We can access the Plesk Panel as an admin using it. We can change this message by editing the file /etc/motd. To run a command as admin, use “sudo “.

The Plesk instance is now operational. To begin working with Plesk, we must provide access to the Plesk Panel via the LightSail Firewall. To do so, open the public IP address of the LightSail instance in a browser and navigate to the default server page for visual guidance.
