A DKIM record does not exist for this domain in cPanel
The hosting provider activates Email Deliverability in the WHM Feature Manager interface. As soon as the provider enables the Email Deliverability interface, DKIM and SPF authentication demand that we utilize a DNS server for the domain name.
We can manage a domain’s DKIM record using the Email deliverability interface’s DKIM section. DKIM checks a message’s integrity and sender. Furthermore, it enables an email system to demonstrate that spammers did not modify an incoming message while it was being forwarded.
DKIM also confirms that the messages that reach the domains originate from the designated domain. This is possible because DKIM makes use of information published by the domain’s owner about the domain. With the use of that data, the receiving server may confirm whether the email was actually sent by the legitimate domain name owner.
We have to properly install a DKIM record and configure the DKIM key in order to avoid the error, “a DKIM record does not exist for this domain” in cPanel.
How To Enable DKIM Records?
The DNS function ‘Enable DKIM/SPF Globally’ creates DKIM and SPF records for all accounts on the server.
Enable DKIM and SPF records: Click Proceed to activate DKIM records for every account on the server. As a background activity, the server will provision DKIM records for each account on the server.
How To Configure DKIM Records?
In order to configure the DKIM or SPF record for a specific domain, we can use cPanel’s Email Deliverability interface:
cPanel >> Home >> Email >> Email Deliverability
This section allows us to perform the Repair and Manage actions. The Manage option opens the ‘Manage the Domain’ interface that allows users to manually configure a domain’s mail-related DNS records. We can use this interface to resolve any outstanding issues with a domain’s records. Also, a DKIM section displays the correctly configured DKIM record values in the Suggested “DKIM” (TXT) Record section if there are any issues with the present record.
The Manage the Domain interface already displays the properly-configured DKIM and SPF record values. So in most cases, we just need to copy them and paste manually to the DNS zone of the domain. After the record installation, we will receive the confirmation message:
