JIRA integration with AWS CodeCommit is an easy job with this handy guide by our in-house experts. Our AWS Support Services team specializes in solving issues and helping with queries.

All About JIRA integration with AWS CodeCommit

Are you looking for a way to integrate Jira with AWS CodeCommit? Our support engineers have put together this article to help you out. In order to integrate AWS CodeCommit with Jira Server, we need to have an AWS account with CodeCommit repositories.

JIRA integration with AWS CodeCommit

Before we begin, let’s use the Add new integration panel to connect multiple repositories from the AWS CodeCommit git host.

  1. First, head to the Jira Server dashboard menu, and go to Git>Manage repositories.
  2. Then, click CodeCommit on the Add new integration panel.
  3. Next, choose the Region where the CodeCommit repositories are present. Then enter the Access key ID and Secret access key. The rest of the Advanced settings are optional.
  4. Then click Connect.
  5. In the next screen, Git Integration for the Jira app reads the available repositories from our AWS CodeCommit account. At this point, we have to click Import repositories.
  6. After that, the Settings dialog will pop up. Here we will set the Require User PAT option to ON in the Integration Settings section. This forces users to offer AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key.

Alternatively, we can connect a single AWS CodeCommit repository to Jira Cloud manually via HTTP or HTTPS connection. This involves using the HTTP/HTTPS git clone URL from the AWS CodeCommit repository project page. Then, we have to click on the HTTPS and use it for single git repository integrations with Git Integration for the Jira cloud app.

Similarly, it is possible to connect a single AWS CodeCommit repository to Jira Cloud manually via SSH connection. For this, we need the SSH git clone URL from your AWS CodeCommit repository project page. Then we have to click on the SSH and use it for single git repository integrations with Git Integration for the Jira cloud app.

According to our experts, making adjustments to the configuration of the Permission settings will ensure all repositories are displayed for the integration user.
