One easy way to regularly have full VPS backups accessible from the OVHcloud Control Panel without needing to physically connect to the server in order to create and restore them is to use automatic backups on a VPS. The option to mount a backup and then access it via SSH is an additional benefit.

Enabling Steps

1. Click the Automated backup tab in the horizontal menu after choosing the VPS.

2. Please note the pricing details in the following step and click Order. We will get an email confirming the order and be guided through the process. From now on, daily backups will be made until the option is cancelled once more.

3. The backup will occur at a time of day that we can modify.

4. Click on … above the table and then on Edit.

5. Edit the time of day (24-hour UTC standard time) in the window that appears. Select “Confirm.”
