Plesk clear Nginx Cache | How-to Guide

If you are looking for a guide to help you clear the Ngnix cache in Plesk, you are in luck.

Plesk is a popular web hosting control panel. It enables users to manage their web servers and websites with ease. If we are using the Nginx web server with Plesk, we can easily clear the Nginx cache via the Plesk interface with these steps:

  1. First, we have to log in to Plesk.
  2. Then, head to the Websites & Domains section and select Apache & Nginx Settings.
  3. After that, enable the Enable Nginx caching checkbox.
  4. At this point, we have to click the Clear cache option. As a result, the Ngnix cache in Plesk will be automatically deleted.

Alternatively, we can opt to delete the Nginx cache in Plesk as seen below as well:

  1. After logging in to the Plesk control panel, click the Domains.
  2. Then, choose the domain name for which we want to clear the Nginx cache.
  3. After that, select the Apache & Nginx Settings tab and scroll down to the Additional Nginx directives section.
  4. At this point, we have to add the following directive to the box:

    proxy_cache_path /var/cache/nginx levels=1:2 keys_zone=my_cache:10m inactive=60m;

    Remember to replace /var/cache/nginx with the Nginx cache directory’s path, and my_cache with our cache name.

  5. After saving the changes, head to the Apache & Nginx Settings tab and scroll down to Click to view option beside the Proxy mode option.
  6. Now, click the link and we will be able to view the Nginx configuration file.
  7. Then, locate the location block corresponding to our website, and add this line to the block:

    proxy_cache_bypass $http_pragma;

  8. Finally, save the changes and reload the Nginx configuration by clicking the Reread button under the Apache & Nginx Settings tab.
