1. Upgrading Plesk via the Plesk interface

First, we access the client’s Plesk panel as administrator and navigate to Tools & Settings.

Then on clicking on Updates and Upgrades, it shows option Install or Upgrade Product.

Now on this page, we select Plesk Obsidian from the drop-down list and click continue to start the installation.

 

Note: To upgrade the Plesk panel from Plesk interface. Port 8447 needs to be open in the firewall. If the port is blocked we open the port in the firewall before the upgrade.

 

2. Upgrading Plesk via a command-line interface

We can also do it from the command line. Our Support Engineers log in to the server’s from SSH/RDP and run the below command :

1. Linux

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller

2. Windows

"%plesk_bin%"\ai.exe --console

We run the above command in the windows command prompt as administrator
