Azure Cache’s Zone Redundancy In Redis
A zone-redundant cache will run on VMs spread across multiple Availability Zones, thus providing higher resilience and availability. Only Azure regions with Availability Zones can use zone redundancy. Azure Cache offers zone redundancy in its Premium and Enterprise versions.
Steps To Enable Azure Cache’s Zone Redundancy In Redis
1. Firstly, access the Azure console.
2. Choose Create a resource.
3. Choose Databases from the New page.
4. Choose Azure Cache for Redis.
5. Modify the settings for the new cache on the Basics page.
Subscription: Choose the required subscription.
Resource group: Choose a resource group. We can also choose Create new to make a new resource group.
DNS name: Provide a unique DNS name.
Location: Choose a region/location.
Cache type: Choose a Premium or Enterprise tier cache.
6. In the case of the Premium version, choose Replica count from the Advanced page.
7. Choose Availability zones.
8. Set your clustering and/or RDB persistence settings.
9. Choose Create. The creation of the cache takes some time. On the Overview page for Azure Cache for Redis, we can keep track of developments. The cache is ready to use when the Status indicates that it is running.
