CyberPanel Backup | A Simple Step By Step Process

by | Sep 1, 2022

CyberPanel is an open-source control panel that supports one click backup/restore for the user accounts. In this article, we answers why, how and when about the CyberPanel restoration process as a part of our Server Management Services.

Why We Create CyberPanel Backup?

CyberPanel: As we know, it is an open source control panel for OpenLiteSpeed and LiteSpeed Enterprise. The application supports unlimited number of installs. If anything happens, we may not require to spend money on the application installation. However, that is not same with the backup process. Absence of a well maintained backup results in worst situations, like website loss.

Our Support team suggests the following steps to create backup on CyberPanel.

  1. Locate the Backup tab on the CyberPanel dashboard. We can also locate it from the Menu on the left.
  2. Now we can see some options like Backup, Restore, etc.
  3. Click on the Backup button.
  4. On the new window, we have to select the website from the list that we want to backup.
  5. Then select the backup destination. If the destination is not selected, the backup will be saved in the Home/backup by default.
  6. Finally, click on the Create Backup button to start the process.

When To Restore The Backup?

With a proper backup in hand, we have nothing to worry about now. If we made any mistakes or something happens with the CyberPanel, we can easily restore it. Let’s see what are the steps provided by our Support team to the users to restore the backup from the CyberPanel.

  1. Choose the Backup button from the dashboard.
  2. On the new window, select Restore option.
  3. Now choose the backup we want to restore.
