Are you searching for the easy installation of ionCube loader cPanel?

Installation of the ionCube loader on the webserver is very important for the encoded files to run.

At Bobcares, we often receive requests to install ionCube loader as part of our Server Management Services.

Today, let’s discuss this topic in detail and see how our Support Engineers do it easily.

What is the ionCube loader?

Before getting deeper, let’s make the use of ionCube clear. Why we use ionCube?

Basically, ionCube is a proprietary PHP encoder. And, it is a module/library for the protected functions in PHP applications.

ionCube converts the readable source code in PHP files to unreadable bytecode. This is mainly done to achieve better performance.

So, for the conversion, ionCube loaders have to be installed on the webserver and made available to PHP.

And, ionCube provides these loaders for free and is available for almost all operating systems like Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and so on.

Installing ionCube loader cPanel

So far we have discussed ionCube, now, let’s get into so it’s installation on cPanel servers.

Recently, one of our customers approached us with a tricky error.

While loading, his site shows the following error:

ionCube_loader_cPanel

Our Support Engineers checked the issue and found that the missing ionCube loader caused the error.

Therefore, to fix this error we install ionCube loader using below steps:

  1. Firstly, we log into the WHM as the root user.
  2. Then, on the left-hand side, click the EasyApache link.
  3. After that, under ‘Profile‘, select Previous Saved Config>>Start customizing based on profile.
  4. Then, under Apache Version, click Next Step.
  5. Also, under PHP Version, click Next Step.
  6. Finally, under Short Options List, check the Ioncube Loader for PHP option and click the Save and Build button.
  7. This process will take a while to complete, roughly 10-30 minutes depending on the hardware.

After installing ionCube, we need to enable it from Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> PHP
Here, we select the ioncube check box for cPanel PHP loader and Save the settings.
