How to Set up New Relic on Plesk?
Installing New Relic help us to focus on monitoring and assessing web servers and web apps. Several analytics tools are available to us with New Relic that allow users to measure and track throughput, server health, network graphs, performance bottlenecks, and much more, nearly in real-time. The two most crucial New Relic tools are supported by the New Relic Plesk plugin, which easily interacts with the Plesk server are : APM for Application Performance Monitoring and Management and INFRASTRUCTURE for Server Monitoring.
Setup Steps
1. New Relic Account Setup
1. Initially, we must login to the New Relic account.
2. At the top right, select the login then choose “Add more data“.
3. Choose the applicable OS.
4. Select the New Relic account to link the setup with and take a copy of the license key it creates.
5. There’s no need to proceed with version selection nor setup steps as this is handled by Plesk.
2. Plesk Configuration
1. Login to the Plesk server.
2. On the left hand side, go to Server Management -> Extensions.
3. Search for New Relic then click Get It Free to install.
4. Once the extension has been setup, open the extension.
5. Enter the license key generated from the New Relic process, then enter the server name.
6. If we want to use the Infrastructure monitoring, leave Install Infrastructure selected.
7. Deselect any unused PHP versions for the APM settings.
8. Click Install to begin the setup.
9. After this is complete, we should see confirmation that the installation was successful.
10. Return to the New Relic login to view the data being sent. We may need to wait for up to 5 minutes before data will be visible.
