  1. First, we have to log in to the Linux server via SSH. Then we will open the csf.conf file located at /etc/csf/csf.conf via any text editor.
  2. Then, we have to add the port we plan on opening.
    # Allow incoming TCP ports
    TCP_IN = "20,443,465,21,22,587,993,25,53,80,110,143,995"
    # Allow outgoing TCP ports
    TCP_OUT = "20,21,443,587,22,25,80,110,43,53"
  3. Next, we have to restart CSF with the following command to allow the changes to come into effect.
    csf -r

How to open port in CSF Firewall via WHM

  1. First, we will log in to WHM.
  2. Then, we will enter firewall in the search bar and click ConfigServer Security & Firewall as seen below:

  3. Next, we will click the Firewall Configuration button.
  4. After that, we have to scroll down to the Allow incoming TCP ports section. Here, we will enter the port we want to open and click the Change button and save the changes made.
  5. Finally, we have to restart CSF by selecting, Restart csf + lfd button.
