Let’s see the use of an extractor in SQL Server for LiteSpeed through the command line. At Bobcares, with our Microsoft SQL Server Support Service, we can handle your issues.
Use of Extractor in SQL Server for LiteSpeed through Command Line
By using the command line, the extraction tool enables us to convert LiteSpeed backup files into MTF-compliant SQL Server backup files. Also, any SQL Server’s native RESTORE DATABASE or RESTORE LOG codes can be used in order to restore the devices produced by the extractor program. So, on the server where the backup files are kept, the software needs to be launched.
Run the following command line and switch directories until we are in the LiteSpeed setup directory to use the program. The syntax of the program is the following:
Examples
1. extractor.exe -F "C:\temp\Northwind.bak" -E \\my_server\my_share\Native.bak
extract a LiteSpeed backup to a Network Share.
2. extractor.exe -F "C:\temp\Northwind.bak" -E "C:\temp\NorthwindNative.bak" -N 1
extract only the first backup in a backup set.
3. extractor.exe -F "C:\temp\LS1.bak" -F "C:\temp\LS2.bak" -F "C:\temp\LS3.bak" -F "C:\temp\LS4.bak" -E "C:\temp\Native.bak"
extract a striped LiteSpeed backup.
