The Virtualizor Rescue Mode gives customers access to a predetermined OS template known as the “Rescue VPS. Here, we’ll look into the details of enabling and disabling the Mode in Virtualizor Control Panel. As part of our Virtualizor Support, we assist our customers with several queries.
Overview
Virtualizor Rescue Mode: Introduction
This is a feature that allows us to fix and repair the virtual machines (VMs) when they encounter issues preventing them from booting normally. Rescue Mode boots the VM into a minimal, alternative operating system that allows us to access the VM’s filesystem and perform maintenance tasks.
Steps to Use the Mode
1. Log in to the Virtualizor Control Panel.
2. From the left side panel, select “List VPS.”
3. Scroll over the desired VPS until the line becomes highlighted, and then click the Manage icon in the highlighted row.
4. Locate and click on “Rescue Mode” under the VPS admin settings.
5. Enter the password and choose “Enable Rescue Mode.” Allow several minutes for the changes to take effect.
6. After Rescue Mode is turned on, connect to the VPS over SSH with the new password. If SSH is inaccessible, use VNC to connect.
7. To turn off Rescue Mode, return to the Rescue Mode tab and select “Disable Rescue Mode.”
8. If Virtualizor bans actions, use the “Reload this page” icon to reload the page. This step will make all functionalities visible after Rescue Mode has been disengaged.
