Increase PhpMyAdmin upload limit cPanel with a little help from the experts at Bobcares.
At Bobcares, we offer solutions for every query, big and small, as a part of our Server Management Service.
Let’s take a look at how our Support Team recently helped a customer increase the PhpMyAdmin upload limit.
Why should we increase the PhpMyAdmin upload limit cPanel
Uploading an SQL file that exceeds the upload size limit will result in an error as seen below:
phpMyAdmin - Error Incorrect format parameter
This error indicates that only a part of the file will be uploaded, resulting in a corrupted import. Fortunately, our Support Team has a way around this issue.
All we have to do is gradually increase the cPanel PHP max upload size as well as the cPanel PHP max POST size values in order to increase the upload size limit in phpMyAdmin.
According to our Support Team, these limits can go all the way up to 2047 MB. If the import file is larger than 2047 MB, we have to import the file via the command line.
How to increase PhpMyAdmin upload limit
- First, we will log in as the root user to WHM.
- Then, we will navigate to Tweak Settings under the Server Configuration section.
- After that, we have to select the PHP tab.
- Next, we will increase the upload limit to the desired value for cPanel PHP max upload size. Our Support Engineers would like to point out that we cannot enter values above 2047MB.
- Then, we will click Save.
After this process, phpMyAdmin will display the new maximum upload size on the import screen right next to the upload button.
